Welcome to Bingen Town Talk. Bingen sits on the Washington bank of the Columbia, right across the river from Hood River, named for Bingen am Rhein back in Germany — another river town, an ocean away. Trains still roll through, the Bingen–White Salmon Amtrak stop keeps it connected, and on a clear day Mt. Adams stands over it all. It’s a small town with a long memory and a front-row seat to the Gorge.

This is Bingen’s front porch. If you grew up here, passed through, or just love this bend of the river, you’re welcome — share a memory, ask a question, or say hello below.
