Welcome to Cascade Locks Town Talk. This is the heart of the Gorge: home of the Bridge of the Gods, Marine Park and the sternwheeler, the old canal locks that gave the town its name — and the spot where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses the Columbia at mile 2150.2, the lowest point on the whole trail. Hikers walk in hungry all summer, the river runs big and green, and the town keeps its small, friendly soul through all of it.
This is Cascade Locks’ front porch. Trail stories, river stories, hometown memories — share them below, and welcome.
